My name is Timothy B. Nelson, and I have been with ComproTax since 2002. ComproTax helped put my children through private school and college. It also allowed me to earn funds so my son could play football and travel baseball, and my daughter could compete in cheerleading. I was able to meet and help people understand federal, state, and city taxes better. I have watched children grow up, and now they are my clients. Yes, ComproTax has provided me with both financial and relationship rewards. I went from being a beginning tax preparer to a Board Member of ComproTax.

Timothy Nelson

I began my career in income tax preparation in 2006, working in the office with Yusuf Muhammad. I opened my office and became an office manager in 2010, expanding my reach and client base. What started as a part-time pursuit to supplement my full-time career has grown into a longstanding business built on professionalism, trust, and service.

I have served as an educator with the Department of Education and ComproTax, and I currently hold a position on the Board of Directors. These roles have strengthened my leadership skills and broadened my ability to support others in both education and business.

As a business owner, I value the independence of entrepreneurship and the continuous development of business and leadership skills. I have also had the privilege of mentoring others as they build their own businesses. Above all, I find it deeply rewarding to contribute to the community and witness the lasting impact of hard work and dedication.

My journey has been one of perseverance, faith, and significant personal and professional growth over the past 30 years. It began in 1994 when I was a housewife living in a low-income apartment with no college education or business background. At that time, my work experience included jobs in the food industry during high school and later managing a Wendy’s location before dedicating myself fully to raising my family.

Despite these humble beginnings, I refused to let my circumstances define me. Through determination and the opportunities provided by Compro Tax, I transitioned into a successful tax professional and thriving business owner, earning a six-figure income. As a dedicated wife and mother in a blended family of 15 children, I drew on the entrepreneurship training offered by Compro Tax leaders, including co-founder Mr. Craig D. Johnson, to establish and grow my own business. This incredible company allowed me to create something meaningful while also making
a lasting impact on my community.

Along the way, I continued to experience significant personal and professional growth. Since joining Compro Tax, I have served as an instructor in CTI’s Department of Education, as well as a traveling instructor, helping to develop entrepreneurs in Houston, Texas; North Carolina; Ohio; and Cincinnati. Today, I am honored to serve as an Executive to Mr. Craig D. Johnson and his downline team. In August 2021, I was elected to CTI’s Board of Directors, where I proudly serve as Vice President of Public Relations.

Jenny Mickles

I was a divorced single woman, raising two daughters and working an 8 5 job with a limited income, when I was invited to a COMPROSM- TAX, Inc. (CTI) Opportunity Meeting, with an
invitation to be a part of something larger than myself. It felt like home.

In the summer of 1988, my sister in Christ, Karla Maxine Howard, introduced me to the late Gloria Toran, who needed help organizing some files in her office. That July, Mrs. Toran invited me to an Opportunity Meeting, where I met Jackie Mayfield, President of COMPRO SM - TAX, Inc., a Texas Corporation.

After the CTI Opportunity Meeting, I was motivated to set goals to leave my 8 5 job in 5 years, based on the CTI System. The company offers a unique system designed to empower tax professionals through education, integrity, and entrepreneurship, with provisional time to grow.

In that meeting, I was introduced and invited to join something bigger than myself. I seized that opportunity and enrolled in the COMPRO SM - TAX, Inc., fall 20-week Tax Course to become a Professional Income Tax Preparer and received training to become a Professional Insurance Agent under the guidance of the late Charles Levingston. It just felt like home, and my life changed in unexpectedly positive ways.

In my 5th year, I purchased stock in COMPRO SM - TAX, Inc., became a member of the Board of Directors, and accepted the position of VP of Contract Enforcement. Among my awards was the COMPRO SM - TAX, Inc. Founders Award. Currently, I serve as the Corporate Secretary of COMPRO SM - TAX, Inc., a Department of Education Team Member, Tax Instructor and Coach, and the writer of the company’s song and Affirmation.
